Welcome!

Hello everyone, and welcome to the launch of The Yodeling Dwarf. I'll try to stick to a posting schedule of Monday/Wednesday/Friday, but I'm not sure how long that plan will last. Click "About Me" on the sidebar to learn more about the blog. I'll be posting on a range of subjects, but the focus will be my journey toward publication. Just recently I finished a book that I've been working on for the past two and a half years or so. It's a YA fantasy roughly 72,000 words in length. You can read the prologue and first chapter of that book here or by clicking the "My Book" button on the sidebar. Right now I have various people I know reading through it and offering me feedback, and I'd appreciate your comments and questions after reading the sample as well. Thanks!

I'd love to read the prologue, but it seems I can't access it with the link you posted.

Camden: That's strange, it's working for me. What kind of screen appears when you click on it? Thanks for letting me know.

I read a little bit of it, it looks fairly interesting JR. I'll definitely read the rest when I get a little extra time! :)

Hi Lyceria,

I'm glad you liked it, and yes, I am going to try to publish it. And I'll keep everyone here updated on that whole endeavor. Thanks for reading!

Hey there, thanks for the comment! I read the beginning of your prologue, and I'll finish the excerpt you posted sometime today or tomorrow. And I'll probably be including a comment with my thoughts and suggestions for improvement. I must warn you-- it'll most likely be nit-picky and ridiculously thorough. ^_^

I'm also looking for an agent, and I found a very helpful forum on query writing and 'how to' all things writing and getting published. The address is http://querytracker.net/forum/index.php, if you're interested. Good luck! =)

Amanda: I'll take all the suggestions for improvement I can get! The ridiculously nit-pickier, the better. I looked into the url you posted. Looks like a great resource, and good luck on your quest for an agent as well. Thanks.

From what I briefly read, I see it has potential. :)
